Dean's Welcome Message

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
It is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you at Al-Sawani Faculty of Arts, University of Tripoli. Our Faculty offers a wide range of undergraduate (Bachelor's) programmes and, God willing, will soon expand its academic provision to include postgraduate studies leading to the Master's degree.
Our Faculty provides a dynamic and supportive academic environment that fosters students' personal growth, enhances their intellectual and professional development, and empowers them to achieve academic excellence. This is made possible through the collective efforts of a distinguished body of highly qualified faculty members, motivated students with a genuine passion for learning, and a dedicated administrative staff. Together, they form a cohesive academic community committed to creating an environment that inspires critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.
The Faculty currently offers eight undergraduate academic programmes, each extending over eight semesters. Upon successful completion of the programme requirements, students are awarded the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in one of the following specializations: Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Literature, English Language, History, Sociology, Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Social Work, or Library and Information Science.
We take great pride in being an integral part of the University of Tripoli, one of Libya's oldest and most distinguished institutions of higher education. We are delighted to welcome you to our Faculty and University and invite you to explore our academic programmes, research activities, and the vibrant scholarly environment that reflects our commitment to excellence in education, research, and community engagement.
