Word Of the Head Department of Islamic Studies



The Department of Islamic Studies is pleased to contribute to the beginning of the global orientations. That the Faculty  of Arts seeks to achieve by developing an introduction guide.  Also developing an accurate scientific description of each discipline of each department in Arts faculty. Contributing to the leadership of the Faculty of Arts and achieving quality and excellence, and raising the rank of the university of Tripoli.

The Department of Islamic Studies as putting forward description of disciplines, it also presenting teaching and research experience of the staff members. This work is a  summary of what of  the staff members  at Department of Islamic Studies agreed upon in their executive or advisory committees. Objectively to provide the program to  undergraduate, master’s and PhD students. To serve the community, and to reflect the importance of the Department of Islamic Studies.

Finally, we ask Allah for success, reimbursement and help. We thank those who contributed to the preparation of the disciplines, by supervision, modification, audit or consultation.

Vision

Achieving excellence and leadership in the field of Sharia sciences, scientific research, and community service, in light of the goals and objectives of Islamic Sharia.

Mission

Enriching society with graduates with scientific qualifications in the fields of jurisprudence and its principles in particular, and Sharia sciences in general, and contributing to nation-building, reforming society, and protecting it from manifestations of ideological, intellectual and behavioral deviation.

Objectives

  • Preparing researchers in the field of Islamic studies.
  • Enabling students to issue fatwas and diligence in calamities related to the issues of individuals and the nation.
  • Introducing the correct values of Islam based on facilitation, love and brotherhood among its members, and rejecting division, fanaticism and exaggeration. And provide sober information based on moderation and facilitation.
  • Community service by qualifying graduates specialized in Sharia and advocacy sciences.

Tasks

Supervising the educational process to achieve the objectives of the program. In addition we are determined to achieve the mission and vision of The Department of Islamic Studies.
