Bachelor Students visit to Al Qardabiya Cow far in the city of Sirt

Scientific visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Tripoli to the Al Qardabiya Cow Farm 15/4/2024

Within the framework of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tripoli’s keenness to advance the educational process and serve the local community, the faculty professors from the Departments of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Surgery and Reproductive Medicine, accompanied by bachelor’s degree students, made a scientific visit to the Al-Qardabiya project for raising cows in the city of Sirte, within the framework of practical training for students and providing medical consultations to serve the community. Local and as a consulting body in this field, and in an effort by the University of Tripoli to enhance cooperation between national institutions.

The Qardabiya Cattle Project is considered one of the important and effective projects inside Libya

The college professors accompanied the students on the first day:

  - By meeting with the station manager, who gave a comprehensive explanation about the project, its components, and the problems it faces, and taking a tour of the dairy factory and its annexes.

The visiting team also examined many cases and identified the most important medical problems and effective solutions to reduce infections and increase the herd’s productivity.

Our dearest thanks to the University of Sirte and its president, as well as to the Chairman of the Man-Made River Water Investment Authority - Central Region and those in charge of managing the project for their cooperation in order for this visit to bear fruit.
