Greetings and respect to all of you.

It gives me great pleasure to meet and speak to you at the Faculty of Arts and Languages. I wish you success and prosperity. I congratulate my dear students on your wise choice to study at this prestigious institution within the University of Tripoli, the mother university, the university of all Libyans. We are pleased to offer you seventeen scientific departments in the humanities, ranging from specialized, academic, and service-oriented linguistic departments.

Welcome to the Language Departments. Arabic Language, the language of the Holy Quran, not to mention other international languages such as English, French, Italian, Spanish, African languages, in addition to the Translation Department.

Welcome to the Islamic Studies Departments and the knowledge they offer in the Quran, jurisprudence, and Sunnah. In the Philosophy Department, the mother of sciences, and in the Library Department...

Welcome to Geography and History. Geography provides its expertise, research findings, and outputs to serve the community in economics, development, and the environment. Similarly, the History Department records the nation's identity and documents its journey through the ages.

Welcome to the Psychology, Counseling, and Psychotherapy Departments and their role in assessing and evaluating psychological concerns and treatments. The Sociology Department and its role in providing the correct approach, social studies, and ensuring the development of harmonious and peaceful social relationships. Welcome to the Social Work Department and its important role in serving, guiding, and directing social work in an effective and professional artistic manner.

Welcome to the Tourism Studies Department, a distinguished specialized field that ensures outputs contributing to the tourism development in our beloved country.

We are pleased to offer you postgraduate programs for both Master's and Ph.D. degrees in most of the aforementioned departments. Every day, scientific theses are presented for discussion in various fields of humanities to obtain the degrees that postgraduate students aspire to, especially after the expansion of domestic postgraduate studies. The college also offers and participates in numerous scientific activities, lectures, discussions, scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops related to both local and international affairs, serving the purpose of scientific research and development.

Mission

The Faculty of Arts and Languages at University of Tripoli seeks to prepare qualified academic and professional cadres in the fields of arts, languages, humanities, and social sciences through offering advanced academic programs, encouraging scientific research, translation, and interdisciplinary studies, and promoting the values of dialogue and cultural diversity in order to meet the needs of Libyan society and the requirements of sustainable development.
