Abstract

It is worth noting that the diet program for slimming aims to increase muscle mass along with increasing body fat. Therefore, the process of sports training is considered a vital and important part in obtaining the ideal weight for those who suffer from thinness. A range of 500 to 1,000 calories/day is added to daily meals for thin people gradually based on daily body weight and the ability to load excess calories through high-calorie-density foods. The study aimed to identify the level of nutritional awareness of women who frequent gyms to improve their body mass index. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of (150) women who frequent gyms in the city of Tripoli. The researcher used a questionnaire form that included three axes: energy foods, building foods, and prevention foods. The most important results were that the axes were arranged in descending order according to their relative weight. The culture axis for building foods in improving the body mass index and health came first, with an arithmetic mean of 2.55 and a relative weight of 85.1%, and the culture axis for prevention foods in improving the body mass index and health came second with an arithmetic mean of 2.51 and a relative weight of 83.8%. While the culture axis of energy foods came third in improving the body mass index and health, with an arithmetic mean of 2.23 and a relative weight of 74.3%.
