About Faculty of Physical and Sport Sciences {PESPS}

The specialization of physical education and sports sciences is characterized by the fact that it combines in its courses human and applied sciences, as it deals with the human being as an integrated unit of mind, body and spirit. To be a scientific edifice that prepares qualified cadres and provides scientific advice in this specialization, and its interaction was positive with youth bodies and organizations inside and outside Libya.

Then it resigned in 1990 AD and was accredited as a college of physical education consisting of seven scientific departments and reorganized after the return of a large batch of faculty members who graduated from different scientific schools at the international level to become three scientific departments as an academic future for the sciences of physical education and sports in 2009, and in line with the growing interest Qualifying specialized cadres who hold higher degrees, and in all programs of physical education and sports sciences (teaching, training, sports management, movement sciences, anatomical and functional sciences, rehabilitation and physical therapy).

On the occasion of the birth of the new Libya and based on the needs of society, the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences looks upon us to take its natural place alongside the other faculties by launching new projects in its infrastructure of scientific laboratories, halls and modern stadiums and restructuring its departments and offices, in the desire of its cadres to contribute to advancing the development movement humankind through related fields such as health, education, youth and sports sectors, and others.
